ANGOLA, GESTO IMPLEMENTS ENDE’S ASSET MANAGEMENT SYSTEM

Luanda, 24 June 2024

GESTO has successfully implemented an asset management system (SGA) for ENDE (Empresa Nacional de Distribuição de Electricidade), which will assist ENDE’s technical teams in registering and managing electrical grid assets.

The implementation process began on 16 June and is expected to be completed next month. During the first week, the team concentrated on the distribution centers in Luanda and Bengo. Comprehensive training sessions were conducted for ENDE’s staff, involving practical exercises and discussions on various topics to enhance the platform’s functionality and tailor it to the client’s specific needs.

From June 24-28, the same training and implementation process will be carried out in Benguela, focusing on the distribution centers in the central region. The process will then continue in the northern region, followed by the southern and eastern regions of Angola.

These sessions aim to ensure the smooth integration of the SGA software and provide valuable feedback for future improvements.

About SGA and SGA Mobile Georeferencing Tools

The SGA platform (Asset Management System) is a software tool developed by GESTO that enables utilities to register and manage all their assets. It includes detailed information on the exact location, characteristics, attributes, and technical features of each asset.

In the field, teams use SGA Mobile, a powerful georeferencing tool developed for Android smartphones and tablets. This tool allows the registration of electrical assets such as lines, substations, transformer stations, and meters.
