With the Government of Cape Verde setting the target of 50% penetration of renewable energy sources on the national grid, and focusing on the projects identified in the Renewable Energy Atlas of Cape Verde, Gesto supported the Government of Cape Verde in the development of an adequate legislative framework for the development of renewable energy projects in the country.
The overall objective of the “Renewable Energy Land Zoning Development in Sal island” project was to support the Government of Cape Verde (Ministry of Tourism, Industry and Energy) in the development of legislative framework for renewable energy sources.
