15 Feb Kengen CEO visits Olkaria V Geothermal Power Plant construction

In February 5, 2018, the new KenGen CEO, Rebecca Miano – the first woman Managing Director and CEO of the State-owned firm in Kenya – visited the Olkaria V Geothermal power plant construction site.
The construction of the power plant started in April 2017 and the commissioning is expected before the end of 2019.
This is the largest geothermal power project under development in Kenya (158 MW), representing an investment of 220 million Euros. The project is being developed by SGC, a company of Gesto group.
