The commissioning of the second unit of the Olkaria V power plant has started.
The Olkaria V geothermal power plant, one of the largest geothermal power plants currently under construction has an installed capacity of 154 MW, representing a total investment of more than 200 million Euros.
Gesto is developing this project through its Kenyan company SGC to KenGen – Kenya Electricity Generating Company PLC. KenGen is the leading electric power generation company in Kenya, producing about 75 percent of electricity capacity installed in the country.
