30 Apr NEPAL ENERGY MASTER PLAN, SOCIO-ECONOMIC SURVEY

Under the Nepal Distribution System and Rural Electrification Master Plan that Gesto is developing for the Nepal Electricity Authority (NEA) – The project started in January 2018 and will be developed until the end of 2019 – Gesto developed a very challenging socio-economic survey: during 2 months, our team performed across the country more than 1.000 interviews with the goal to collect, analyze and understand the behavior of domestic, small business and governmental institutions (schools, hospitals, etc.), energy consumers. The results of this colossal work will now be processed and analyzed by the Socio-Economic team giving a crucial contribution for the development of the Master Plan.

The Nepal Distribution System and Rural Electrification Master Plan project has the objective to develop Nepal’s first distribution system and rural electrification master plan, helping NEA to bring reliable, affordable and sustainable electricity services to all households and businesses in Nepal until 2027.
